Where this site stands

We use no advertising cookies, no social media pixels and no third-party cookies that follow visitors across sites.

We use no cookies at all. To see which parts of the site are useful, we keep usage statistics with a system we wrote ourselves, running on our own server. We use no third-party analytics such as Google Analytics. That is why you do not see a cookie consent banner here.

How the usage statistics work

While you browse, the following is recorded:

• Pages visited, time spent on each page and how far down you scrolled
• Links and buttons clicked, and which step of the quote form was reached
• The domain of the site you came from and campaign tags in the link
• Device type, browser and operating system type, page language

What is not recorded

• Your name, email address, phone number or anything you type into a form
• Your IP address: it is not written to the statistics; only a request showing signs of abuse is written to the security log, kept for at most 30 days
• Your behaviour on other sites

Your browser's "do not track" setting

If Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is switched on in your browser, nothing is sent. Records are deleted automatically after 12 months.

Strictly necessary cookies

If a cookie becomes technically necessary for the site to run securely, it is used only for that purpose and never for profiling. Strictly necessary cookies do not require explicit consent under the applicable rules.

Local storage in your browser

To group the usage records of a single visit, a random visit ID is kept in your browser's session storage (sessionStorage). It belongs to that tab only, does not identify you, and your browser deletes it when you close the tab. The same storage holds a marker showing that the visit's origin has already been recorded once.

How to manage cookies

Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its privacy settings. Since we use no tracking cookies, blocking cookies does not affect how this site works.

Changes

If we start using cookies or a third-party analytics tool in future, we will update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
